My job in third-person

Justin Craig is a wordsmith for hire. Yes, he drives his friends pull-your-hair-out crazy with his meticulous nature. But it’s that same obsessive attention to detail that allows Justin to craft and polish copy — from web copy and e-books to blogs and journalism — to an exacting final standard.

Set your writing free

I edit and write for most mediums and formats, and don’t mind if your work and ideas are sordid or sublime. I don’t judge. Promise. Rewriting or writing to a brief is my favorite. Often the richness of material can’t be fully appreciated until it has been properly crafted. Or as Michelangelo said: “I saw the angel in the marble and carved until I set him free.”

My initial assessment will determine the level of careful attention your work needs. I charge a flat rate, so these categories are scaled according to labor, not cost.

This involves a simple proofread and mark-up for grammar, spelling and punctuation. The next level up is a proofread, line-by-line editing and rewriting where approved.

In addition to what I offer in the basic package, this option includes a structural analysis, and a full rewrite if requested. Expect your work to be transformed.

Writer for hire

Blogs. Journalism. E-book marketing material (the blurb and pitch). My special talent is for working one-on-one to translate your ideas – your vision – into lucid, smart copy.

Ensuring a smooth integration between the copy for your website and the website design; all elements in synchronicity. That’s a fancy way of saying I know a little about web design but a lot about copy and how to make them work together.

The Blog

Showing not telling

The blog is a showcase of where writing and my passion for the psycho-spiritual intersect. It is also an opportunity to offer good writing from select contributors.
